Activities Near Llandudno

The Chelsea is ideally situated next to the Great Orme country park, which offers a wealth of walks , biking and climbing. For those of you with a more relaxed attitude to holidaying why not stroll along the promenade and walk to the end of the Victorian pier, or take a trip on the cable car or the Victorian tramway to the Orme summit, both of which are only a few moments from our doorstep, and offer fabulous panoramic views of this beautiful part of the North Wales coastline.

Climbers, cyclists and walkers are all most welcome. Information such as guide books regarding these activities can be provided upon request. We also offer packed lunches for anyone requiring them for a day out on the hill. Bikes and gear can be safely stored for you.

Llandudno’s excellent shops including high street names and independent boutiques, bars and restaurants are all at your doorstep, so if you are looking for a short shopping break combined with a coastal break you will have all you need right here.

Culture lovers can visit the museum, art galleries, or take a short ten minute trip by car, bus or train to the Medieval walled town of Conwy, and visit the castle and stroll along the quaint cobbled streets to the harbour.

Further afield lies the Snowdonia national park, again a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and less than 30 minutes drive away, which makes The Chelsea in Llandudno the perfect base from which to spread your wings and explore hills, valleys, mountains, narrow gauge railways, castles, lakes, National Trust properties, beaches…the opportunities for an enjoyable day out are endless.
